Riding better—for everyone.

To us, riding freedom means more than just having fun on the trails.

It’s a real commitment—to the planet, to the sport we love, and to the people around us.

That’s why we’ve made the entire Bike Festival more sustainable, with a range of thoughtful actions.

In 2025, we also signed the UCI Climate Action Charter, committing to real, measurable steps:

  • We track our CO₂ emissionsbecause the first step to improving is knowing where we stand.
  • We power the event with 100% renewable, hydroelectric energy—clean, straight from Trentino.
  • We partner with local clubs and associations—to serve quality regional food and support community projects.
  • We involve students and volunteers—to learn, take action and grow together.
  • We work with social cooperativescreating real opportunities for those who need them most.
  • We’ve ditched single-use plastic—with free water refill stations and our reusable Bike Cups.
  • We use only eco-friendly tablewarecompostable or recyclable plates, cutlery and napkins.
  • We sort and recycle waste on site—because sustainability is a team effort.
  • We’re going greener with our merchandise—like organic cotton t-shirts and socks made from recycled yarn.
  • We’re cutting down transport impact—with shared shuttles and, of course, bikes first.

Water: everywhere and free for everyone!

Wellness and sustainability go hand in hand here. There are public drinking water dispensers in the exhibition area. Always have your event water bottle or cup with you!

Plastic cups? No thanks!

The glass you get at the event is sturdy and made from recycled plastic. It will be available for you at all drinks stands at the festival and can be taken anywhere - even as a souvenir to take home!

Bike wash? Cleaner than ever

Even the bike wash at Bike Festival is getting greener: a new water collection and filtration system helps reduce waste and protect the environment by recovering the water used to wash bikes.

Clean energy

Here's a nifty fact: the Trentino region is a major player in the renewable energy scene in all of Italy! Right in the heart of the Dolomites, we're tapping into clean power from natural sources, shaping a sustainable future. Trust in the power of nature – full throttle!

Environmentally friendly and reusable items

Impossible to miss! At the Bike Festival, great importance is attached to ecological sustainability. The Expo site and the materials used are designed and manufactured in such a way that they do not harm the environment.

What will our crew wear?

Even the details make a difference, starting with the clothing of our crew.
