Nothing is thrown away at the Bike Festival!
The structures used during the event are made entirely of wood, metal and eco-friendly materials; therefore, they can be used for several years, even after various assembly and disassembly at different events. Directional and informational signs, stands, stages, and ecological areas are just some of the structures that come from other uses.
Even the soft flooring of the Expo area is naturally sustainable and will later be used for energy production: we are talking about the wood chips that you will find on the ground in different stands. The wood chips that we use are produced from virgin forest biomass, from operations to use and improve certified sustainably managed forests. In this way, the "forest resource" is improved and renewed. The wood chips that first become natural pavement, pleasant to walk on and aromatic to the sense of smell, are then collected and reused for the production of green, thermal and electrical energy.
