Between the blue waters of Lake Garda and the trails of the Garda Trentino mountains, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda returns. For more than 30 years it has marked the start of the international off-road cycling season, and from Friday 30 April to Sunday 2 May 2027 the iconic lakefront will once again become the focal point for mountain bike, gravel and e-bike fans. Athletes, enthusiasts, companies and media are invited to an event that combines sport, innovation and a strong connection to the region.
"With the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup and a round of the UCI Gravel World Series the 2027 edition will be even more international. It will bring top-level international cycling to Garda Trentino from the very beginning of the season," says Silvio Rigatti, President of Garda Dolomiti Azienda per il Turismo S.p.A. "These two competitions enrich an event whose heart remains the large expo area, where brands, enthusiasts and the wider cycling world meet. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Riva del Garda for three days of sport, new products, encounters and passion. This edition is not to be missed!"
FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda has grown into much more than a trade show. The 2027 edition is expected to bring together more than 60,000 visitors, over 2,500 race participants, 150 exhibitors and 300 brands, with media coverage reaching more than 30 markets. These figures show how far the event's appeal extends across the bicycle industry and its growing international community.
The festival takes place in one of Europe's most popular cycling destinations, where the Brenta Dolomites meet the mild climate of Lake Garda. The trail network is remarkably varied and beautiful, with technical trails, gravel roads, panoramic climbs and routes surrounded by nature, making Riva del Garda an ideal venue for major international events.
THE HERO UCI MARATHON WORLD CUP COMES TO RIVA DEL GARDA
On 1 May 2027, the renowned Bike Marathon Garda Trentino will officially become part of the HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup. This international series is dedicated to marathon mountain bike racing, an endurance discipline held on long-distance courses, generally between 60 and 160 kilometres, with significant elevation gain and technically demanding sections. Launched in 2025 as a collaboration between the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and HERO Series, the competition brings together the world's best marathon mountain bike specialists. Alongside the Elite categories, it also includes races open to amateur riders.
For the first time, Riva del Garda will host a round of the Marathon World Cup, opening the international season with one of Europe's most iconic races. The race will follow the Ronda Extrema course of the Bike Marathon, covering 82.77 kilometres with 3,434 metres of climbing and taking the world's mountain bike elite along some of the finest trails in Garda Trentino.
Now in its 33rd edition, the Bike Marathon has always been the sporting heart of the festival. Its three routes cross some of the region's most striking landscapes, combining demanding climbs, technical trails and views over Lake Garda. It has become an international benchmark for professional and amateur riders alike.
THE UCI GRAVEL WORLD SERIES MAKES ITS DEBUT
The UCI Gravel World Series will follow the next day, 2 May 2027. The international series, which qualifies riders for the UCI Gravel World Championships, stops in Garda Trentino for the first time. The season-opening race starts and finishes in Arco, with a route through the Sarca Valley that mixes gravel roads, climbs and fast sections, combining Alpine charm with the Mediterranean atmosphere of Lake Garda. Details on distance and elevation gain will be announced during the winter.
In this ideal setting, the course will be designed for a discipline that has won over thousands of enthusiasts with its mix of performance, exploration and direct connection to the landscape.
With the arrival of the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup and the UCI Gravel World Series, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda 2027 is set to write a new chapter in its history. It is the place where the international cycling season officially gets underway: an event that unites sport, innovation, business and passion, with Garda Trentino at the heart of global off-road cycling.
